The world´s largest online poker room PokerStars is about to reach yet another milestone in its seven years of bringing poker action to the Web. Only 1,5 year after dealing its 10 billionth hand, it´s now close to having dealt an awesome 25,000,000,000 hands.
Upping the Ante
PokerStars wouldn't be PokerStars if it didn't launch some extravagant promotions and other festivities to go with this amazing personal record. To start off with both the Sunday Million and the Sunday Warm-up will up the ante. The Warm-Up tournament is getting hotter with a guaranteed prize of $1.25 Million, and the Sunday Million can now officially be labeled the Sunday 2.5 Million.
The Countdown
From of the current 24,937,000,000th hand all the way upwards to the 25 billionth hand some juicy prizes can be won by multiple players. Each additional millionth hand until the 25 billion mark will be rewarded with a cash prize dependent on the stakes you are playing, and with a higher multiplier for players with higher VIP Levels.
The Milestone Hand
When finally the hand that writes history will hit the PokerStars felt, all hell bursts loose. $100,000 will be disbursed among the players at the table, and the winner will win an additional $100k and will take home entries to the WSOP Main Event, the WCOOP Main Event, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the EPT.
