The Ace of the iPoker network, Titan Poker, has announced that it will arrange the all-time biggest guaranteed prize money tournament on the 7th of September of this year. The tournament will have a guaranteed prize pool of $2,500,000.
When the total sum of all buy-ins does not match up to this astronomic amount, Titan Poker will add the remaining difference.
Just a few months ago, in March, the online poker room held a $2 million guaranteed tournament which prices were to be spread among the 1,400 contestants. Then, in May, Titan hosted the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) for the second time, this time the price money was totaling the staggering amount of $3.6 million.
These facts go to show that Titan Poker is working hard to provide players with online tournament prices that equal or even exceed major real life events. As Robin Steel, the Manager of Titan Poker, puts it: "Titan Poker keeps on upping the ante. In addition to these huge tournaments with unprecedented prize pools, the value of our guaranteed monthly prizes continues to increase. In just a few months, we doubled the amount of our monthly guaranteed prizes from $8,000,000 to $16,000,000 and this number will rise further as we hold more record-breaking tournaments like the $2,500,000 Guaranteed."
Players can buy in directly to the $2.5 million Guaranteed. Yet the more seasoned players will play the Sit-and-Go and Multitable satellites that are being held in the upcoming four months. For as little as $2.75 + $0.20 one can enter a satellite, and have the chance to get a ticket to the main tournament and win that huge price.
