The basic idea in video poker is to choose surer wins over big payouts. However, if you have the chart on hand, you don't need to worry about the concepts behind the strategies.
Be Patient
Even if you play correct strategy on the best machine, you will probably lose about half the time. This is simply a result of the House edge built into the game.
Resist the temptation to deviate from your strategy. Simply bide your time and wait for the cards to go your way. This will offer you your best opportunity to book some nice wins while playing online video poker.
