Attack of the Clones

Ever noticed that online casinos look suspiciously similar? I have, and its getting a little boring. There are a limited few, well known and widely used software platforms in the casino gaming industry - PlayTech and MicroGaming are the ones that come to mind immediately. Unfortunately, I cant complain about either of them. They have done an awesome job in developing and maintaining a nice-looking and secure gambling environment.

For the players, it can be sort of a let-down though, that all online casinos look the same and offer (basically) the same games. One of the advantages is of course the security of a well-known platform. A while back there were problems with the occasional rogue software developer, who gave evil operators the opportunity to invent their own odds. With the established, high-profile developers at work today, theres no way to pull off something like that.

Thankfully, neither is there any lack of games in the online casinos today and new ones are released on a regular basis. And to be honest, there are a few other casino platforms as well that are completely secure and quite good. Actually one of my favorites, 888, uses proprietary software.

Personally, I’m not a loyal patron of any single casino though. I have never been a loyal customer online, and I think very few people are. Then again, why would we be, when there are so many good reasons to move around? Never mind they all look the same, as long as I get another great bonus.
