Online Blackjack Tournaments Coming Strong

As pointed out by one of our blog neighbors, there are other forms of online blackjack tournaments available beside the Elimination Blackjack at Ultimate Bet that we have talked about in a couple of blogs at Gambling-Win. Several online casinos have realized the great thrill that the tournament format adds to the blackjack game.

Party Casino blackjack tournaments

PartyCasino.com for instance has stepped into the online blackjack tournament market. They now offer sit-and-go tournaments with five seats and buy-ins at $3 or $6. At this writing, these games are running as beta versions in the Party Casino client. The rules of the Party blackjack tournaments differ some from those applied in Ultimate Bet elimination blackjack. As the most obvious example, there are no elimination rounds.

As a consequence, several players may end up with chips left at the end of the tournament. In these cases, the player with the most chips wins the tournament, and if two or more players have an equal amount of chips, they share the prize money for the first places. To avoid this as much as possible, the minimum bet is increased step-wise over the five “blind levels” of the tournament, forcing players to put their tournament existence at stake.

Three of the five places are paid using the 50-30-20 percent prize structure known from the poker sit-and-gos. That’s a rather flat structure with five players. No reason to maximize your variance, that is.

Making money in a neighing fashion

So far, there are not too many contenders at the Party Casino online blackjack tournaments, though. While waiting for a Party Casino blackjack tournament to start, why don’t you try some virtual horse racing? The concept is a bit silly, but also quite funny.

And believe me, this game is very easy to beat!
