You can work up a mighty thirst at Binnons
November 26, 2008
Last evening started off at the New York New York for dinner, which was fabulous.
Checking my friend’s watch, we discovered we had exactly ten minutes to get from where we were in the restaurant to the Excalibur to see Louie Anderson’s early show. Well, we rethought the plan.
DOWNTOWN!
I showed Clarissa some of the spots I’ve been writing about. She was blown away by the pool area at the Golden Nugget. She disappeared at one point and I found her banging away on a Star Trek Slot outside of the Golden Nugget’s pool area.
Of course, being single girls, we had to take in the ‘sights’. One noteworthy sight was a bartender named Chris at Binnons. Just sayin’. It was odd how thirsty we were for sodas. The desert will do that to ya, I suppose.
We watched a couple of the light shows which are played out on the canopy above. Inbetween we watched Carl Ferris play his Sax. The guy is a pleasure. It is jazz and I have no use for jazz, but Carl I can listen to all night long. You have to be careful when hanging around listening to him play, you just might fall in love. It is just that good of music.
