As the owner of Black Jack Bailbonds I appreciate the advertisement. I too as DR posted above would like to see what happens on the inside of CCDC brought to the outside for others to be made aware of. Just for starters, did you know it takes in most all instances over 18 and in alot of cases more than 24 hours to be released from CCDC after one of the many bail agents makes your bond? Did you know it cost $3 to make a simple phone call to someone on the outside so you can get a bail bond ? By the way the county and city gets 50 % of that fee!! My bill alone for the month averages $5000 a month. There really is not 116 bail offices in Vegas, there is probably only about 30 if that, most bail offices use about 5 different names, I use 2 Black Jack and Swift. Anyone interested about really telling what goes on is free to contact me 1-800-665-2245. I almost forgot to give you our slogan...BEST DEAL IN TOWN!

I would wager that many, if not most, tourists don't even realize that their vacation is not within the city limits of Las Vegas. They have no idea their big strip resort is actually in the unincorporated township of Paradise. But "What happens in unincorporated Clark County stays in unincorporated Clark County" doesn't have the same ring to it...or douchebags yelling "Paradise, Baby!"

According to Superpages.com, Las Vegas has 143 bail bonds places, 116 of which are listed as being in "Downtown". A search for "Attorneys" brings results of 3,354 of which 1,192 are listed as being "Downtown".

If the community there is such that it can support that many Bail Bonds and Attorneys, I would have to think that Las Vegas either has an insanely high percentage of criminals, or a very overzealous police force.

I'm thinking the latter is true.

A good reporter would include photos of the inside of the jail, and maybe some interviews with the residents. I guess there will be no Pulitzer for you.

Good point on the downtown and well put. Hopefully though this is all I'll ever need to see of the CDCC and will have no need to ever try and recall the names of the bail bondsmen or attorneys.

Oops I posted my comment in the incorrect article previously, sorry, please ignore the other one.

From looking at your photos, I noticed another interesting pattern w/ the bail bonds' names. 2 of them have game names such as Black Jack Bonds and Bingo Bail Bonds, how appropriate for Las Vegas. As a tourist I do tend to ignore the non-tourist areas b/c I'm so focused on the strip and fremont street. I guess I go there for one purpose and it's to enjoy my vacation time, and most of the time I'm inside of the casinos. But it is interesting to read and see how the rest of the city is, so thank you.

That is a fancy shmancy jailhouse. I would not have guessed it if you had not revealed what it actually was. The left side reminds me of that World Market Center building.
