On June 12, 2009, The Palazzo welcomed NFL Hall of Famer Warren Moon and other celebrity athletes and friends at The Sportsbook Bar & Grill. The group was in town for the 9th Annual Sports Dream Bowl which benefits the Urban Youth Scholarship Fund. The national charity awards inner city youth financial scholarships to pursue higher education.

Warren and friends were being interviewed LIVE for the ESPN radio show, “Cofield & Cokin.” They were all having a great time with the hosts of the radio show. Some discussed their previous and current careers while others gave their thoughts and insight on sporting event highlights of today. Most importantly at the end of each interview, they talked about what the Sports Dream Bowl meant to them and how it was a meaningful way to give back and make a difference.
The celebrity athletes in attendance were: Warren Moon, Junior Seau, Robert Horry, Robert Griffith, Shaun Phillips, and Greg Oden.

After their ESPN radio interviews, Warren Moon and the celebrity athletes all mingled, signed autographs and took photos with guests and fans at The Sportsbook Bar & Grill at The Palazzo. Fans lined up along the first row of the stadium seating in The Sportsbook Bar & Grill to take photos with their favorite player, get a handshake, and listen in on the radio interviews.

Warren Moon, NFL Hall of Famer and host of the Sports Dream Bowl will held an exclusive “Meet and Greet” with celebrity athletes and friends inside The Sportsbook Bar & Grill at The Palazzo. Fans were encouraged to bring their own sports memorabilia for autographs and a camera to take a photo with their favorite athlete. At 12:15pm, the athletes were interviewed LIVE on the ESPN radio show, “Cofield & Cokin.”
