Stanford Wong was one of the original inductees into the Blackjack Hall of Fame. He's known in some circles as 'the Godfather of Blackjack. Although Stanford Wong is a fictitious name (Wong's real name is John Ferguson), it's a name that's widely recognized as an authority on all things related to Blackjack and casino gambling.

Tournament blackjack is Stanford Wong's specialty. He made the final round on GSN's second season of the World Series of Blackjack.

Stanford Wong began practicing his card counting abilities at age 12. While attending Stanford University, Wong used his Blackjack abilities to finance his doctoral degree. Wong went on to develop a computer program that analyzed the blackjack odds. Initially developed for personal use, Blackjack Analyzer became the first software program on the market to assist everyday players on making wiser strategic decisions (based on mathematical probabilities).

Wong has written countless books on Blackjack and other casino games. In 1975, he wrote "Professional Blackjack," a strategy book that remains a classic read for any player that wants to learn how to approach the game like a professional. Wong co-wrote "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Gambling Like a Pro" with Susan Spector. He's also written strategy guides on Video Poker, Pai Gow Poker and casino tournaments.

Stanford Wong has been a respected name in the world of gambling instruction for decades. He loves the challenge of solving puzzles and figuring out how to mathematically breakdown the statistical outcomes of particular casino games. Wong currently lives in La Jolla, California, and although his desire to compete at the Blackjack table has waned in recent years, his expertise on gambling related topics is still as formidable as ever.
