The winner of the $1,500 Mixed Holdem event is Fred Goldberg from Hollywood, Florida. He is a 31-years-old general contractor with over $1 million in winnings at the World Series of Poker, largely due to his 10th-place showing in the 2006 WSOP championship event. However, this was his first WSOP victory, bagging $1,154,500 in prize money.
Goldberg specializes in No-Limit Holdem, and before this tournament, he had never played live limit poker. This was his fourth cash finish at 2007 WSOP.
