Full Tilt Poker Supporting Don Cheadle's Charity

Wednesday, May 13, 2009 | By CasinoGuide

Full Tilt Poker is doing their part to help "Ante Up For Africa", the poker-related charity that was co-founded by celebrity poker player and actor Don Cheadle.

Promoting A Great Cause
Cheadle is an Oscar nominated actor (Hotel Rwanda) who's also acted in a number of other movies like the Ocean's Eleven 11 series, Swordfish, Crash and Reign Over Me. Along with fellow co-founders Norman Epstein and Annie Duke, he will be promoting Ante Up For Africa during this year's WSOP where the charity has its own tournament and television coverage on ESPN.

Besides promoting Ante Up For Africa, Cheadle will be pushing players to donate 50% of their WSOP winnings to his charity.

Private Full Tilt Tournament
As for Full Tilt's involvement, they've added Cheadle to their group and they're welcoming him by hosting a private $5+$5 tournament that will be held prior to the WSOP, with proceeds going to the charity. The tournament will offer players a more reasonable opportunity to donate some of their winnings than the $5,000 buy-in event at the WSOP.

Leading The Charge
Full Tilt Poker
remains on the leading online poker operators in the industry and it's great to see them getting involved with such a good cause. And emember to also keep an eye on that new reality poker show that will air on NBC where Full Tilt also has a hand in.
