Full Tilt Poker Will Attempt To Break Record Set By PokerStars

Thursday, Jul 16, 2009 | By CasinoGuide

Full Tilt Poker will be attempting to break the official Guinness World Record for the largest online poker tournament this Sunday.

The record is currently held by PokerStars, who on December 28th 2008 attracted 35,000 players in a $500,000 guaranteed tournament with a special $11 buy-in.

The Record Breaker
This record breaking attempt by Full Tilt - which is fittingly called "The Record Breaker - is the last piece of their "FIVE" celebrations, the special events and promotions that celebrate the company's fifth birthday.

The Record Breaker is scheduled to take place at 15:05 PM (ET) on Sunday the 19th of July. The tournament offers a total of $500,000 in total prize money and you can enter by reserving your seat for $5 or by using 1000 Full Tilt Points. You can also satellite your way in for as little as 30 cents or 50 Full Tilt Points.

Mix It Up With The World's Best
Players will also have the chance to sit down at the event with some of the best poker players in the world as Team Full Tilt members Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson are also scheduled to take part.

Head To Head
Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars are the two of the top poker operators in the industry and promotions like this highlight that rivalry. If you want to be part of the possible record breaking event, make sure you satellite your way in or reserve your seat with $5 (or 1000 Full Tilt Points).
