When Game Show Network announced that the show was going to be cancelled, it sent a shiver down the poker community's spine. Luckily, the people at GSN came to their senses and realized that the show is too good to be abandoned.
This year the minimum buy-in has been increased from $100,000 to $200,000, but players can as usual sit down with as much as they wish.
The 2009 line-up consists of online pros Tom "durrr" Dwan and Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies; online/live players Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine as well as esteemed pros Phil Laak, Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu and Barry Greenstein.
We will also get the chance to see how WSOP Main Event winner Peter Eastgate and runner up Ivan Demidov handles super-tough competition. And don't you worry, Phil Hellmuth will be there and probably make a few Poker Brat blow ups once again.
