Thater beat a starting field of 341 players in the $1,500 Razz event to take home $132,600.

The World Razz Championship was won by Katja Thater from Hamburg, Germany. She's a 40-year-old professional poker player who in recent years has become a noticed top player in Europe. This was Thater's first win at the World Series of Poker but her fifth cash finish, including two final tables.

In March 2007, Thater made it to the final table at the EPT Polish Open event in Warsaw. Prior to becoming a poker pro, Thater specialized in horse breeding.
