When you sign up at Poker Stars you can clear a 100% match bonus up to $600. To release the $50 bonus you must earn 500 Frequent Player Points.

The amount of FPPs you earn per hand depends on the stakes, or rather, how large the rake becomes. If you participate in a hand in which the rake is below $0.40, you’re awarded 1 FPP. When the rake becomes $5, you’re awarded 3 FPPs.

In tournaments you get 5 FPPs per $1 paid in entry fees.
