The fourth edition of the European Cup is underway at Everest Poker, giving beginners in 15 different nations the opportunity to battle it out in one of the largest freerolls that Europe has to offer.
€100,000 Prize Pool
The European Cup sees teams from 15 different countries duke it out at a top southern European resort, with the winners taking home a €100,000 prize pool and the 2010 title. The final takes place in May and players from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Holland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and Sweden have from now until April to qualify.
"This year, the tournament is open to 15 countries", read a statement from the poker giants. "EverestPoker.com has 225 live final spots to fill so 15 players from each competing country will advance."
Free Qualifiers
As for the qualifying, a combination of free online and live qualifers will determine the 225 players that will fill the 15 open roster spots for the 15 different countries. Each qualifying player will also receive a sweet prize package that includes travel, accommodation and event activities that are worth €2,000 to attend the live final in May.
