It's imperative that you understand all the different bets that you can make at the Sic Bo table. There are quite a few bets on the table that need to be avoided.
Betting Options
Just like in Craps, the Sic Bo table is busy with betting options. There are eight types of bets that can be made on the Sic Bo table.
Players can bet on a single digit. If that digit shows up on the dice roll, players are paid even money. If the number shows up twice, bets are paid off 2 to 1. If the number shows up three times, bets are paid off 3 to 1.
Players can bet on two identical numbers (two of a kind), and if both numbers show up, winning bets are paid 8 to 1. Wagers can also be placed on two numbers that aren't identical. This is called a duo bet. Winning duo bets are paid 5 to 1.
Players can also bet on three of any kind. If any number shows up three times, these bets are paid off 24 to 1. A bet can also be placed on three of a (specific) kind. If the dice shows three of a kind, and you selected the correct three of a kind number, then you're bet will be paid off 150 to 1.
Players have the option of betting small or big. If the sum total of the three dice adds up to 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10, then the small bets wins. If the total of the three dice adds up to 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17, then the big bet wins. Big and small bets both pay even money.
Sum bets are bets on a specific three dice total. If your total shows up , you are paid off according to the Sic Bo pay table.

Small and Big
The small and big bets are the best wagers you can make in Sic Bo. The house edge on these bets is about three percent. As you can tell from the table above, most of the sum bets give a huge advantage to the house. Although the Sic Bo table is full of betting choices, these two bets are really the only two that you should consider making.
