The Philippines have their first online casino site at eGamesOnline.com.ph, an online version of the e-Games cafés which are available throughout the country.
PACGOR
The new online gaming platform is the result of a co-operation deal between the state-owned Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and the online technology firm PhilWeb. The co-operation means that casino games like Slots, Baccarat, Roulette, Craps and Blackjack are available online for the first time within the Philippines.
PhilWeb
PACGOR, which was established to regulate and operate all games of chance in the Philippines, also has online games available in 171 e-Games cafés throughout the country. Those games are also operated by PhilWeb.
"This is an important step in fulfilling PAGCOR's mission to deliver secure, legal, fair and convenient games of chance to adults throughout the country," said PhilWeb president Dennis O. Valdes. "We believe this site will be attractive to affluent customers who own their own computers at home and prefer to play at their convenience and privacy."
PhilWeb also powers the online casino site with a payment platform that players can use. Customers can also visit cashiers in Metro Manilla and use the Click2Pay system, while more payment options should be added later.
Online Gambling
The year opened with news that Estonia legalized online gambling and now the Philippines follow with their own venture into the web world. Players in Belgium can only hope that their country follows sooner rather than later.
