Wager Works Software Review

They say that the Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos are built on broken dreams and slot machines. There is no question that slot machines are a cornerstone of any successful casino.

This is just as true in the online casino world, and it was for this reason that WagerWorks was born. Silicon Gaming created WagerWorks as a slot machine operating subsidiary and when IGT acquired Silicon, WagerWorks became its own entity, looking to spread out on their own and create the best online gaming sites in the world. They were so successful at this that IGT appeared in 2005, acquiring WagerWorks and expanding their online gaming brand.

Skin and Layout

WagerWorks skins provide unique lobby layouts that, if a bit crowded, are definitely eye-catching. WagerWorks most popular site, 888.com, also known as Casino On Net, presents its game icons in a circle, with an animated casino Flash movie in the middle.

Featured games with current progressive prize pools are presented in the circle, and a convenient display counter of the player's account balance is in the corner. On the right hand side is a bar with help and support information, as well as news on current promotions.

Graphics and Sound

The graphics on WagerWorks casinos' table games seem to put an emphasis on function. The cards have a very clear design, as do the chips. However, the tables are rendered in a mostly two dimensional format and a priority is not put on live casino realism.
Sound quality is also adequate but not earth shattering.

The slots are another matter. WagerWorks first established as a slot company and it shows. Particular attention has been paid to the WagerWorks slots, for example the Spider Man slot, which has much more entertaining sound and cool animations for hitting certain Spider Man symbols on the reels.

Game Variety

Slots are key at WagerWorks, and WagerWorks casinos provide dozens of entertaining slots, including progressives and Marvel super heroes themed slots. If slots aren't your thing, there are still options for you at WagerWorks, including regular and multi-hand blackjack as well as blackjack with additional side bets.

There's also roulette, the European single zero version, Carribean poker, Pai Gow Poker, baccarat, craps and a wide assortment of video poker games to check out with Wager Works.
